People often postpone this task until they reach the point when the oven is all covered with grease, burned food and gunk, which, naturally, makes it even more difficult to remove. Baking Soda + Dishwashing Liquid
Spray the inside of your oven and the oven door with warm water. Sprinkle generous amount of baking soda and let it stay overnight. Use a damp sponge to wipe of the loose dirt and grease. Rinse the sponge and dip it into a solution made of 1 part of warm water and 1 part strong dishwashing detergent. Scrub the inside of the oven and the door. To this point the dirt should be loose enough to be removed easily. Wipe the suds off with clean damp cloth.

Powerful Ammonia Evaporator
Preheat your oven to 200°. When it reaches this temperature – turn it off. Pour 2 cups of ammonia in a heat resistant glass or ceramic dish and place it on the middle rack. Fill a big bowl of boiling water and place it on the bottom of the oven. Close the door and leave it overnight. The next morning, put a mask to protect your lungs from ammonia vapors, remove the dishes from the oven and clean it with strong dishwashing liquid and sponge. This method works very well, because the ammonia vapors loose the gunk and grease, making them easy to wipe off.

Vinegar, Borax, and Baking Soda
Mix ½ cup of Borax, ½ cup of vinegar and ½ cups of dishwashing liquid and 2 cups of hot water in a spray bottle and shake well. Spray the oven insides and door. Sprinkle generous amount of baking soda, close the oven door and leave t overnight. On the next day, spray the oven with the solution one more time, then wipe clean with damp sponge.
Baking Soda and Salt Cleaning Paste
Prepare thick paste from equal amounts of salt and baking soda, plus some water. Spray the inside of your oven with hot water, then apply thick layer of the paste and let it overnight. The next morning the dirt and grease in your oven will be loose enough to be easily scrubbed away. Rinse the oven clean with water and sponge.

Dishwasher Tablet Scrubber
Preheat the oven to 200°, turn it off, and spray the inside of the oven with hot water. Take a dishwasher tablet and scrub the oven walls and door. Let it stay for and hour and wipe the oven clean with lukewarm water and sponge. For particularly dirty ovens, you can dissolve the tablet into a few drops of hot water – just enough to turn it into a thick paste. Apply the paste onto oven door and walls, let it stay overnight and wipe on the day after.
