Steam Cleaning Solution
Using a steamer to clean your carpet is one of the best ways to kill bacteria settled deep into the fibres. And the best part is you don’t have to use a strong toxic product when cleaning with steam!
You will need:
- 2 tbsp dishwashing liquid
- ½ cup hydrogen peroxide
- ¼ cup white distilled vinegar
- 5-6 drops essential oil (optional)
Preparation:
Mix all the ingredients in a small bowl and stir until they blend well. The essential oil is not mandatory but it will give a nice odour to your detergent. Pour the mixture into the steamer’s container and fill it with water. Shake it well to allow the solution to dilute with the water. Turn on the steamer and run it over your carpet. After you cover the whole area, throw away the liquid from the container, pour clean water and run it again to ‘rinse’ the residues of the solution.
